New Hopes for the New Year...and some resolutions!

I have simple wishes for the New Year...good health for me and my love of 32 years, continued prosperity for our farm, the safe and joyful entry into this world for my new grandbaby...and many awesome treasures to behold in the days of my junk quests!!! Is that asking too much?!?
...Now --- for my RESOLUTIONS: Always-be kind, be nice and take more time for others. Re-use, re-think and find new uses for all this stuff I've had laying around forever!!! Blessings to all in 2010!!!

Last bits of Christmas

This adorable little paper mache snowgirl is such a little cutie!*!
This sweet little cup is my favorite Christmas decoration!! I look forward to putting it out every year!

A little glimpse at some of my brown transferware collection and I love this vintage post card of the little baby in his jammies!!!

...more transferware and a repro post card that is so sweet. I love to use my old flower frogs to display my vintage post cards!

One of my BEST Finds !!!

This is my 25 cent Roseville pot that I found this past summer that I mentioned in one of my previous posts!!! Isn't it a beauty?~!

Blogging Obsessed?

It's almost 1:00 in the morning and I've been playing for hours with free blogging backgrounds and stuff. I've been killing myself with trial and error until I get it right. Still haven't found a background I like and am kinda having trouble. Maybe I should go to bed and sleep on it!! I like the changes I've made so far~especially my header~~I love it!!!

Happy Holidays!!

Looking forward to a rather quiet Holiday this year. My kids will all be home tonight, hopefully if the weather doesn't get too ugly! Then some visiting the next couple days. Wishing for peace on earth, safe travel to all and a New Year of many good and wonderful things!!!!

Got a couple of these pieces from my friend, Jeanine...which were the inspiration for the theme on my hearth and mantle. The tote contains candles, pine cones and a couple vintage post cards with birds~LOVELY!

Sweet child's watering can and some other goodies on my mantle.
an arrangement of unpolished silver on top of a jelly cupboard I have in my bathroom. The garland is this yummy vintage stuff I picked up--great patina!

just learnin' this blogging thing

I've been enjoying all the blogs I've been reading lately and thought I'd give this a try. So here goes!! I'm going to try and put in some pics of my Christmas decorating and maybe some of my room at the Red Rooster in Plymouth, Wi . I am totally addicted to antiques and just junkin' in general. It's the best feeling in the world when you find a good junkin' spot with great prices to boot! Nothin' like driving home with a vanfull of good loot!! I haven't been to a good flea market in a couple years! wow---just haven't been alble to get away at the right time. We live on a dairy farm and I do have to help with the chores, so mornings don't always work for me. But I do get out to some garage sales and have good luck with them. Like my 25cent Roseville vase!!! Probably my best find---too few and far between. Will try to post as often as I can to get in pics of my latest finds and crafty things I'm working on.
