PROJECTS

In trying to keep myself busy lately, have been focusing on trying new projects and using up stufff that I have accumulated over the years~~and stuff that I've recently found too!
Like this iron trivet~~made a cute backdrop for this collage.

This pincushion was made in a sugar bowl that I got as a birthday gift from my friend--so it may be a "keeper"!

...sad this bible verse turned out so blurry, but it says "increase our faith"...

Sewing collage in an old hanky box. The old newspaper I've been using is so old it's almost "crispy"--so delicate I have to handle it with care!

I had this beautiful platter for sale at the store for the longest time. It hadn't sold, maybe 'coz it has a little chip? So I thought it would be an excellent surface to be altered!

Used one of my little coin purses I recently found (not the expensive one!)
I thought this turned out quite nicely!

I also had this nice window out in my garage just waiting to be turned into something, then I had this idea.......

It's not done yet--all pics need to be spray glued down. Then I want to put some old hooks on the bottom and hang it with some old wire. I want to get this done before our open house on the 24th. I work best under pressure~~~

Then...my darling thoughtful husband brought me these one day....

I told him I was looking for some nests from last year still on the branch to decorate at the open house. So while he was out driving around the farm one day he found a bunch for me!!! So we hopped in the truck together and brought 'em all home! How romantic is that?!?

I put a little flower bunch in this one~~speaks spring to me!!

I continue to be inspired by others out there who are generous enough to share their ideas with us...I am truly grateful! I hope I can return the favor too!

MY STUFF

Just thought I'd take a few pics today of some of my favorite things and vignettes in my house. I have a big cupboard in my living room that I love to change up every now and then. Most of the time it houses my transferware and flower basket doorstops which I have blogged about and pictured in the past. Here are some new and fresh things I've added.
I love to display my "instant relatives" in different ways!! Clipped to the edge of an old basket with a vintage Christmas candle clip....

In flower frogs....

and in rusty little metal molds~~

This is a shot of the inside of my living room cupboard. I especially love to play inside of this at Christmas time~~

This shelf in my living room changes once in awhile too~~But usually houses my matte ivory pottery. I love this fruit picture--very soft colors!

This is one of my very many latest projects! Honestly I think I have ADHD with all the jumping around I do from one project to the next!! I have SEVERAL started right now!!
These are inside my kitchen hutch for now until I decide to part with them!

Watt's ware inside my kitchen hutch~~

Kind've an eclectic mix of things I love!!
The spatterware bowl on the bottom left was my grandmother's~~I begged my mother for it and I think she gave in just to shut me up!!!!

Egg themed advertising vignette in my dining room. I have a kitchen re-model on the back burner for now~~but we WILL be getting at it soon-hopefully late this summer!!

Hope you enjoyed my "mini tour". Have a great day!!!

LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!

OUR COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS HELD A HUGE INDOOR RUMMAGE SALE ON SAT.!! Even though I didn't get there until a couple hours after it opened--I still came home with some fun little trinkets!!
I found this adorable frou-frou pillow that I just love!
...and all these other pretty pastel treasures as well!*! The pillow is kind of covering up the little child's chair, but it's a cutie! I want to fill the etched jar with shredded sheet music and some little treasure...

One of the sellers had the greatest "trinkets"---great stuff for collages and assemblage! The teeny little book is a 1915 almanac! Love the little shoe, scale and playing cards!!

She also had all these wonderful buckles!! The metal one has little scottie dogs on it!

Same seller had all these frogs and of course I snatched them all!!!
The most I spent on one item in her booth was $4-!!

This is all the fun colorful stuff.....and some metal too!

thought this little cart would make a great napkin holder!

Wonderful linens (these were all from the flower frog lady!)

I Love the yummy dark one!
As with any rummage sale, there were those with the usual "Yucky" stuff, but I did come home with some great finds...and had tons of fun too!!! Great day!!!

CLEAN POTTIES AND EASTER BUNNIES!!

I suppose you're wondering what potties have to do with Easter bunnies!?! Well- one of my favorite things to do is go "surfing" through some of my favorite blogs while I do housework, crafting, etc. Since my computer is so S-L-O-W I can get alot of stuff done in between while blogs are being uploaded~~I think they call it "multi-tasking"!!
So today while I was blogging I got my cleaning done. I would sweep-look at a blog-dust-look at a blog-clean toilets--and so forth and so on! I thought I'd share a few pics of my now clean bathroom.

This jelly cupboard now houses my towels and health and beauty stuff. There used to be a big closet here that I had ripped out about 3 yrs. ago when re-modeling. I don't miss it at all either-it was always such a big mess!! I think this is MUCH prettier!!

Pretty reflection in a ceiling tin mirror~~

I bought this cute cupboard a couple months ago and am on the fence as to whether I should keep it or sell it!? For now it's housing my Easter stuff~~

Here's the grungy inside--I love it!

Bunnies on parade!!
Love these old egg dippers~~
Well now it's time to make supper so I guess my multi-tasking continues!! Have a good night!
