I have always been drawn to sweet little children's things ~ toys, clothes, and darling little shoes! Especially the scuffed and softly worn variety! They are so fun to decorate with and tuck into vignettes!
This shelf is in my computer room and I love looking at it! I've filled it with my ironstone creamer collection and tucked my favorite pair of vintage baby shoes in as well!!

Love the baby shoes. There must be some around here for me to play with and there is a pair of little cowboy boots (love those little feet) sitting in the family room. Thanks for the reminder and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I love this post! They look great all over the house. Your "baby" is adorable too. :)

ReplyDeleteJulie I am the same way. I have a collection

and anything else I find and like. I have my
baby shoes from 60 years ago, my son's from
42 years ago, daughter's from 38 years ago
and last buy not least my youngest daughters
from 34 years ago. I decorate with them also.
I love the one you made the pin cushion in.
I saw that on another blog and thought about
doing that with one of mine. I love your little black maryjanes. My older daughter
had a pair a very simiular to those. Oh and
I have a collection of vintage children's
sewing machines displayed in my sewing room.
Julie I forgot to tell you your baby is a very pretty baby.
ReplyDeleteYou can almost see the little people inside those shoes! So precious!
ReplyDeleteLove all your little shoes! I have a thing for little shoes too, as well as tiny little baby or doll dresses. I need to figure out how to display some of my favorites, instead of keeping them boxed up. You've given me a few good ideas!
ReplyDeleteThese are just too cute. I really like the little black ones with the sweet straps. Love how you're using one little shoe as a pin cushion.
ReplyDeleteHugs;-)
I just also saw your collection on pin cushions they are neat looking in the jar. Thanks for following and we are also following you now. have a good week.........Julian
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, don't you just wish you knew those precious little feet that wore them? The more worn the better!
