TRYING TO DO IT ALL!!!

WOMEN ARE NATURALLY GOOD AT MULTI-TASKING! WE TRY TO BE ALL THINGS TO EVERYONE...THAT'S THE WAY GOD MADE US I GUESS! SO WE TRY TO DO IT ALL AND HAVE IT ALL...A FAMILY, CAREER, A BUSINESS, HOBBIES AND OTHER INTERESTS. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING RESPONSIBLE CAN BE A BIT OVERWHELMING AT TIMES~WHICH CAN SPELL OUT ONE BIG WORD S-T-R-E-S-S!!

SOMETIMES I JUST FEEL TIRED!

I HAVE MANY THINGS IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW THAT ARE PULLING ME IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. LIKE HELPING MY DAUGHTER WITH THIS SWEET LITTLE ANGEL~~~

HE'S GETTING SO BIG! AND OF COURSE I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH HIM AND HELPING SARA...HE'LL BE ALL GROWN UP BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!

A GARAGE FULL OF PROJECTS WAITING FOR MY ATTENTION!
NOT TO MENTION THE STUFF IN OUR BASEMENT AND MY STORAGE UNIT--YIKES!!!

MY HUSBAND HAS HINTED A FEW TIMES ABOUT ME GETTIN' OUT OF MY ANTIQUE BUSINESS-BUT I TELL HIM I'M NOT READY YET. I'M STILL HAVIN' TOO MUCH FUN!!

...AND THIS LITTLE LADY WHO I TAKE CARE OF EVERYDAY ON OUR FARM ALONG WITH ABOUT 25 JUST LIKE HER!! IT'S MY JOB TO FEED ALL OUR BABY CALVES...ISN'T SHE A CUTIE?


I ALSO TAKE CARE OF CUTTING ALL THE GRASS ON OUR FARM. WE HAVE SOME HUGE EXPANSES OF LAWN TO MOW AND IT'S THE HEALTHIEST GRASS ON EARTH FOR HOW FAST IT GROWS!!!

I DON'T MEAN TO BE A COMPLAINER, BUT THERE ARE DAYS WHEN I WISH I HAD MORE TIME AND MORE ENERGY TO DO IT ALL!!

LATEST ETSY PURCHASE!

I recently purchased some items from an Etsy shop that I blogged about not too long ago.

I received them the other day and am completely in love with all of it!!! All of this creamy wonderfulness came from the shop found at the blog of Dream in Cream.

One of the things was this lovely collection of old watch faces. They look wonderful on this little ironstone dish!!

Also got this gorgeous vintage lady picture~~~this is my favorite piece!!! Such a lovely image!

I also received this sweet baby image! I have been having so much fun doing vignettes with this batch of great stuff!

...and they lived HAPPILY ever after!

I haven't yet decided if I'm keeping or selling these fabulous finds!! But like I often do, I keep them for awhile~then set them free to a new home! I surely will enjoy them at least for now!!

ANOTHER PRAYER ANSWERED!!!

OUR DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW TOOK OUR GRANDSON, JACKSON TO MILWAUKEE YESTERDAY FOR X-RAYS OF HIS HEAD AND NECK TO CHECK FOR POSSIBLE BIRTH DEFECTS.

THE DOCTOR CALLED MY DAUGHTER THIS AFTERNOON AND SAID THAT EVERYTHING LOOKED NORMAL!!!! THEY FEEL THAT THE UN-NATURAL SHAPE OF THE BACK OF HIS HEAD WAS CAUSED BY HIM BEING BREACH FOR SO LONG!! HE WAS LIKE THAT FOR AT LEAST 2 MONTHS AND THE DOCTOR THAT DELIVERED HIM SAID HE WAS REALLY "IN THERE"!! THEY HOPE THIS SHOULD CORRECT ITSELF OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS!

I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW RELIEVED WE ALL WERE WHEN WE GOT THIS WONDERFUL NEWS!! THE THOUGHT OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CHILD HAVING TO UNDERGO SURGERY TO HIS HEAD WAS VERY UPSETTING AND OVERWHELMING!!!

HE CONTINUES TO BE OUR LITTLE MIRACLE AND I LOVE HIM SO!! I WENT OVER TO MY DAUGHTER'S TONIGHT AND JUST HELD AND ROCKED HIM! WAS 100 KISSES OVER THE TOP?!?

LAUNDRY ROOM VIGNETTES

Having a sweet little vignette like this in my laundry room makes the task a little more pleasant! Although with my "empty nest" I don't have near as much wash as I used to like back in the day when my kids wore stuff once and threw it in the wash!! Now they all do their own and I'll bet they've changed that habit!! Hope you're having a good Wednesday!

I have been blogging now for about 4 months. Still a novice for sure, but have learned a few tricks and been inspired by those who have been doing this for years instead of months! RECENT FINDS!

Just a few quick pics of some of the great stuff I've picked up lately!

These 2 chairs are perfectly chippy!! There is a cute little bench that goes with this set that I forgot to get a picture of too--but it's just as chippy and cute!!!

Will be giving these 2 chairs a coat of white I think! Won't they be cute with a little table in between? Now I just gotta find one!! That's our dog goin' potty in the background!!! Ooops- I forgot he was out there!!!!!!

These vintage egg boxes have the greatest patina and color! I love the mustard one!!! It may stay with me for a little while!!

Cute little grungy drop leaf table and a homemade wheelbarrow made for me by my handy guy Dan!

Isn't this long bench amazing?? It's just over 9 feet long and is the most wonderful shade of green! I can just picture it on someone's porch with pots of red geraniums!! Now I just gotta figure out how to get it to the store!!

OUR LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN

This past Sunday my hubs and I spent the greater part of the day doing yardwork at our cottage that we bought early last summer. We have made so many memories there in this past year and hope to own it for many more years to come. This picture was taken last summer of my husband doing what he loves best...fishin' off our pier. We both work very hard on our farm and this is our reward. We love to come here to unwind and have family get-togethers. Let me take you on a little tour~~~

Our lake frontage faces west and we have enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets!!!!

The two bedrooms are about the same size. They both have a woodsy, rustic feel.

This is the one we consider the master because it has a patio door that leads outside.

All the furniture was included with the sale. It's definitely not my style, but it's in really good condition and perfect for our family. Now for the bad news....My husband made it very clear that he doesn't want any OLD JUNK to "mess up" his cottage!!!! So I'm trying to live with that and respect his wishes, much to my dismay. But I have gotten him to agree to old fishing stuff and that is OK with him. I'm currently looking for old lures.

This picture is rather dark, but when you first walk in the front door, you can see clear to the other end of the living room through the double patio doors out to the lake...this was the thing that sold us almost at once. It was love at first sight!!!

These old decoys were left for us by the previous owner.

This last winter felt so long waiting with anticipation for spring to come so we could come here again. We have to close it up and drain all the water pipes in the fall. Now it's ready for another season of relaxation, cook-outs, boat rides, fishing and family togetherness~~~We just love it!!!!
