ADVICE PLEASE!!

I BROKE DOWN AND BOUGHT A NEW CAMERA YESTERDAY AND WE'RE STILL GETTING AQUAINTED!!
THIS ROSE WAS IN MY BOUQUET OF FLOWERS THAT I RECEIVED FROM MY GRANDSON FOR MOTHER'S DAY! THEY WERE JUST BEAUTIFUL!
NOW.....MY QUESTION IS--DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE EITHER PHOTOSHOP, PAINT SHOP OR SOME OTHER COMPUTER SOFTWARE THAT THEY USE FOR THEIR BLOG? HOW EASY IS IT TO USE, WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT AND IS IT WORTH THE MONEY???? I PURCHASED PAINT SHOP WHEN I BOUGHT MY CAMERA AND KEEP STARING AT THE BOX, AFRAID TO OPEN IT!! 'CAUSE ONCE I DO-I CAN'T RETURN IT!!
I WANT TO BE SURE IT'S WORTH THE $100 I PAID FOR IT! ALL I WANT TO USE IT FOR IS TO SOFTEN UP MY PICTURES, MAYBE ADD SOME BORDERS AND SOME PRETTY TEXT. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ANYONE HAS TIME TO OFFER...
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT MOTHER'S DAY--I DID!!!

  1. Hi Julie
I Mostly use the program that came with My Digital (Kodak Easy Share Camera) but, then there are a few photo programs out there, Free or a small fee, Picnik, Picasa & Photoscape..... You can Google them all ~ I have only used the picnik & picasa before, but just downloaded the Photoscape ~ some fun things are available on all..... I have only use the Free Stuff, but then again, I don't need Anything Fancy..... Hope this helps

  2. I take and post a lot of pics. (Take a peek at my blog.) I use Photoshop 7 mostly and love it, but it does take some time to learn. Picasa is very good. It's not as complex as Photoshop, but easier to work with. It's great for small jobs. Best of all..it's free! Just download. It's safe. I use it often.
    Hope this helps.

  3. Hi Julie!
Congrats on getting a new camera!

I use PS Elements, and I really like it. I haven't spent nearly enough time learning all it can do, so I'm not utilizing it to its fullest capabilities yet.

Part of the reason I wanted a new camera ( a really good DSLR) was so that I wouldn't have to do quite so much editing to get a killer shot.

    Enjoy your new toys!

  4. Hi Julie, I just use Picnik and love it. I bought the year subscription for 25 dollars for the extras and it's worth it. I've used it tons! My camera isn't fabulous, but with the Picnik I can do a lot!
    love the rose!
