THE COLORS OF MY WORLD--BLUE MONDAY

IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE MYSELF POST ON A MORE REGULAR BASIS, I CAME UP WITH A THEME FOR A WHOLE WEEK'S WORTH OF POSTS. I'M CALLING IT "THE COLORS OF MY WORLD" AND WILL FEATURE A DIFFERENT COLOR EACH DAY. TODAY I'M STARTING WITH "BLUE MONDAY" FEATURING SOME BLUE STUFF FROM MY HOME AND MY WORLD.
THIS NEST OF BEAUTIFUL ROBIN'S EGGS WERE IN SOME SHRUBBERY AT OUR LAKE COTTAGE. THE MAMA WAS VERY NERVOUSLY SQUAWKING AT ME WHILE I TOOK THIS PICTURE!!

MY KITCHEN IS MOSTLY BLUES AND REDS AND THIS LUNCH PAIL FULL OF HOOKED WOOL FLOWERS AND BIRD ARE ON TOP OF MY FRIG' ALONG WITH OTHER TINS.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BREAD TIN SAYS"CAKE"!!

I BOUGHT THIS CUTE LITTLE BLUE WAGON AT AN AUCTION IN SHIPSHEWANNA, INDIANA A FEW YEARS AGO. THESE AUCTIONS ARE HELD EVERY WEEK ALL YEAR LONG AND I USUALLY HAVE GOOD LUCK FINDING SOME GREAT STUFF THERE!!

THIS IS MY ONE AND ONLY PIECE OF ROSEVILLE AND I AM SO PROUD TO SAY THAT I SPOTTED IT AT A GARAGE SALE FOR A QUARTER!!!! YES, YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT A WHOLE, WHOPPING 25 CENTS!!!

WELL, THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE BLUE THINGS.
I'VE DUBBED TOMORROW'S POST RUBY TUESDAY!
UNTIL THEN....

  1. Great post...and wonderful old tins!! I love the photo of the nest too. Would you mind if I join you in your "the colors of my world" posts? I think it's a very nice idea and I would mention your blog. I'm new to this and also need some motivation to blog often.

  2. What a wonderful idea, with your colors this week. Love seeing all the great blue goodies you have! That robin will surely have her little self busy with all those little ones. I have one on my porch with 3 in it. Can't wait to see all the babies!
Also wanted to let you know I did a post on your wonderful gift to me last week. Come by when your not busy mowing or feeding baby bovines!
